The name of this cuvée, ‘Tuffeau’ refers to the white soil types, so typical of this part of the Loire, which makes for crisp, mineral fizzes.

Domaine Plou, located on the banks of the Loire River, has been owned by the same family since 1508, just a few years before Leonardo da Vinci arrived at the nearby Château d’Amboise.

This is made in the traditional method, but in a more hands off method, hence the cloudiness.
